I will pretend that it hasn't been as long as it has since my last post. But I have been thinking about what I would post, and really THINKING. At first, I planned a defeatist post about how badly I was doing. No progress. But then I realized I WAS making progress, it just wasn't fast as I wanted it to be. But I was making progress. I have cleaned up and somewhat organized my arts and crafts room. I have set out the old incomplete projects or items I meant for projects but never used that were most in need of my attention. And I even completed some projects, although they included some bakeable clay projects that rather scorched. So, they probably aren't usuable and may not be postable on etsy (I'm still looking into painting over the scorching for future use of some of them) or just simply chocking it up to experience and restarting from scratch.
The projects included 4 miniature clay polar bears (hey, they sold so well in rugs) that could be used in glass christmas ornaments that have been hanging around and begging for use, as well as 4 matching 3-d refrigerator magnets that turned out well had it not for being scorched and turning brown. The magnets I will try to salvage, and will at least try the project again with other magnets. The polar bears I'm still trying to see if can be salvaged with paint. Plus I managed to do 2 newborn tshirt prints and will consider whether or not I should further embellish them (1: they could only look prettier or 2: my previous tshirts haven't sold, why waste more time).
There should be more etsy in the coming week, but I know I need to work on NOT putting my own interests above my previous obligations... like my volunteer web work, which is sadly very very late. I made a commitment and need to not be so slovenly on following it through.
No further news on the skirts, but they are on my 'incomplete and upcoming projects' shelf, as well as several dozen shirts of various sizes that I had already purchased (I had no idea I had so many!). A few purchases of some shirts to 'print on' turned into several dozen. If my shirts don't sell, which I'm started to expect they won't, then I'll have to find other uses for them... linings for bags, coasters... I don't know. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. Funny how I've decided that my shirts "don't sell" when I have only put 4 items online and sold 1 thing. Patience. Wait and See. Don't change your coarse so quickly. See it through.
