Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's day! Should I spend the post railing about the 'Hallmark holiday'? Should I was poetic about love and relationships?

Maybe. But instead I'll just spend a few moments on our V-day and get on with it. DH brought home flowers, but for the first time, he brought flowers not just for me but for DD as well. I got some beautiful dark red (almost black!) roses with cream stripes, and my daughter got some purple tulips. We also got sweets. My daughter got a special cupcake with blue frosting and a puppy dog (which resembles one of our dogs) and I got some petit fours kind of miniature bite-size tarts and a 'volcano' cake (I think to share).

Catriona is finally off to bed after running around for the last 15 minutes, which is especially amazing if you knew that she has been flat on her back sick for the last week. She hasn't moved this much in ages. I giggled and jumped up and down with excitement to see her moving around again like normal. I'm sure she'll be taking it easy again tomorrow, but she is on her way to recovery, finally. I still don't know if its flu, a bad cold or what, but she is finally on the mend!
